Blind sisters receive the miracle of sight
Two sisters from India have been blind since birth, but a simple eye operation makes it possible for them to see for the first time. Watch as they experience the wonder and joy of seeing the world, of simply seeing their mother’s face.
The family couldn’t afford the surgery, but a nonprofit organization, 20/20/20, which provides free surgery to thousands in developing countries, gave the sisters the surgery for free. What an amazing gift!
These procedures empower people in impoverished communities to create better futures and gives them hope.
In this short film, provided by National Geographic, Blue Chalk Media shares the sisters’ poignant story and captures their initial experiences after the bandages come off. It’s truly an uplifting and moving story.
