how much I loved you? I clung to your every word. Did you know your voice was the sweetest song that I'd ever heard? Did you know that what I felt for you would never wane or go? Did you know that I loved you though I never let it show? I was so passionate then, and yet so full of pride. I kept my feelings locked within, my love hidden deep inside. And though the love was there, it was like a leaf flying before the face of fall, untouchable and yet, bringing color and light to all. All through our time together, every hour, every year, while the seasons changed before us, you were all that I held dear. Did you know how much I loved you? Could you see it in my eyes? Did I hide it from you well? Or to my heart were you wise? Perhaps you saw it on my face or sensed it once while I was speaking. I only hope you know that your heart is safe in my keeping.
