     Tough Times...

We live in tough economic times, but such a challenge can make a person stronger, more determined to do the things that will make life more fulfilling in the long-term, and even launch a person toward absolute greatness. Here are some things to remember through these tough times.

You're not lost.
Losing money does not make you lost. You're merely on a new path. But you ultimately know where you want to go, and if you're determined, you'll get there.

You're not broken.
Being broke does not equal broken. Your wings still function. You can still dream, can still plan, can still fly. You can still succeed.

You're not less.
Having less doesn't mean you are less. You're the same wonderful person you always were, and you'll come out of this all the greater, because you'll be stronger and wiser.

You're not unworthy.
If anyone treats you like you are, because of how much money you have, then they aren't worth knowing anyway. And in fact, they're the ones who are unworthy.

You're not beyond happiness.
If you wait for your life to be perfect, you'll never find happiness, because it never will be. Even during better financial times, life wasn't perfect. But life is great anyway.

You're not alone.
God promised to see us through tough times, and He'll come through. Ask for His help and guidance. He has been patiently waiting to hear from you.

You're not responsible for this.
It's not your fault. Let go of pain, angst, and regret. Forgive yourself. Embrace hope, faith, and belief in yourself again.

You're not weak.
You're still strong, and you have enough courage to get through this.

You're not without character.
Your love for your family, friends, and the world around you, the beauty of your heart, your giving nature, your faith in God, in your dreams, and in yourself--these are all much more important than how much you have in your bank account and are a much greater estimate of your character and worth. Don't forget it--even if you suddenly become outrageously rich and successful.

You're not without dreams.
Don't lose your dream beneath the weight of a temporary trial. Your dream still lives in your heart and soul, and it can still come true. But you have to believe in it, take it out into the world, and live for it.

You're not without opportunities.
As bad as these times are, they present an opportunity for growth that could result in success. Plant seeds of potential by trying something different or learning new skills and see if makes a difference. If you do, a garden of opportunity may soon be in full bloom.

You're not without hope.
Nothing is hopeless. Don't let disappointment fill your soul with dark clouds. Feel the hope and determination there. It's still burning. Let it guide you each day.

You're not without perspective.
Act today, but look to tomorrow. Don't dwell on what was lost. Focus instead of what can be gained. If things are at their worst, they can only get better from here.

You're not without blessings.
Don't bury hope and happiness under pain and stress. Look around you--there's still so much to be thankful for each day, including the gift of a new day, which always offers another chance.

You're not without abilities.
Be kind to you. Make a difference in your own life by treating yourself well. Beating yourself up will not help. Focus on your abilities and talents instead. You are great. Never forget it.

You're not without spirit.
Don't give up! You are still alive, despite loss, so keep fighting to achieve what you want your life to be. You can do it!

You're not without beauty.
Life is still beautiful in the face of loss. See the enormity, beauty, and wonder of the world around you. Watch the sunrise. You'll see that hope still shines on those rays.
