Happy Mother's Day...
Dear Grandmother,
Always your heart speaks;
your hands so gentle
upon my hair,
your kiss so soft
against my cheek,
a reflection of love
from a heart that cares,
such a giving person,
ever willing to share.
So lovingly you soothed
my childish woes and
saw me through my pain,
you summoned the sun
through each drop of rain.
Always, you had a way
to calm my strife,
and instill the lessons
I'll carry through life.
And I think of you each day,
your tenderness I recall.
I would tell you that
you're like a rose,
but a rose can't compare
to your beauty at all.
And through every treasured
memory, one thing will stand
I'll always think of the warmth
of your loving hands.
