Life is Like A River...
Life is like a river.
We're caught up in the flow,
yet we can still decide
where our lives should go.
The way ahead seems foggy,
and we're given no charts,
but we can navigate the water
if we follow our hearts.
Sometimes the tide brings us
disappointment and pain,
but the current always takes us
to peaceful bays again.
For all the angry tempests
and tidal waves we greet,
are merely passing trials
that hearts with faith can meet.
And as we sail through troubled waters
where the winds of fate may lead,
along the way we're blessed with
everything we need.
We have family and friends
to steer us along the way
and dreams to remind us
of our purpose here each day.
And should we feel lost
in waters that are swift,
God gives us direction
so we can never go adrift.
If we stay on hope's course,
though the way ahead seems vast,
we'll arrive at a harbor
with sunny shores at last.
