Quiet Little Corner...

My friend, I know your
heart is full of sorrow,
but won't you please
come in and sit?
Rest here by the fire
and chat with me a bit.
Clouds have come to grieve you.
Your heart is weary today.
But in this quiet little corner,
we'll push your woes away.
I'll sit beside you and
you can tell me what's
on your mind,
and together we'll daunt
the troubles so unkind.
I'll stay with you,
and I'll hold your hand.
I promise that I'll listen
and try to understand.
We'll focus on your blessings.
Through your eyes they seem so few,
but in truth, you have so much
going for you.
And though your burdens feel
so heavy, you're sure to find,
that they're only passing.
Soon you'll leave them
all behind.
In this quiet little corner,
please come in and sit;
for one's worries always lighten
when they reflect on them a bit.
You can lay it all on me;
your sorrow you can lend,
and leave here with a lighter heart
from sharing with a friend.
