To Know Your Love...
You walk down the street,
and no one recognizes you.
No one sees your crown.
No one looks your way.
They could easily tread
upon you as they pass
and you would
still go unnoticed.
And yet, when you are near,
all the rivers quake
and bells shake the sky,
and a hymn fills the air
and some indescribable force
rushes over the fields
and silently touches
and stirs everything.
Sometimes it seems like
only you and I know you're there
and that you have a hand in all
the goings-on of life.
How can they possibly miss you?
If they would only pause
to listen and look,
they would have no choice
but to feel your nearness
and know your love, God.
