If I were an angel,
I'd give up my halo
just for you
if it would mean that
I could get closer to you.
And if my halo
wasn't enough,
I'd give up my celestial light
just for you,
if it would mean that
your light would surround me.
And if my celestial light
wasn't enough,
I'd give up my wings
just for you
so that nothing could ever
call me away from you.
And if my wings weren't enough,
I'd give up being an angel
just for you
and fall to the earth,
so that I could walk beside you
all of your days.
And if my wings weren't enough,
I'd give up my life

so that I could
spend eternity with you.
I'm not an angel.
I have no halo,
no celestial light,
and no wings,
