A Friend Like You...
The years bring changes;
in so many ways it's true,
but each year, I'm blessed
to have a friend like you.
It seems like in all
walks of life nowadays,
there's so very little
to brighten the days.
But when life seems to be
a cold, impersonal thing,
I can always count on
the warmth that you bring.
You have a way to lift
whatever troubles my mind
with a caring heart
that's generous and kind.
Always, you manage to
lighten life's sorrow
and make me hopeful
for a better tomorrow.
And though the new year
will bring change,
one thing will remain true,
my life will always be better
for having a friend like you.
