For the gift of dawn
sparkling and new,
for red roses fresh
with morning dew,
for blazing fires
against the cold,
for sunsets wrapped
in wings of gold,
for the misty sea
of blue above,
for those who took
my hand in love,
for my loved ones
and my close friends,
for the inspiration
the starlight sends,
for the peaceful nights
and the fragrant woods,
for those who were there
and understood,
for all the blessings
I've received along the way,
I give my heartfelt
thanks today.
